Transparency act – Norway:
Mesh Communities goal is to build the leading platform providing premium physical and digital services for the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Nordics. Our organization is structured with our mother company Mesh Community AS which operates four daughter companies in Norway (Mesh Oslo AS, Mesh Youngstorget AS, Digs AS & The Hub AS) and one daughter company in Denmark (Matrikel 1 ApS).
We have made a due diligence assessment on our business operations in relation to the Transparency Act that was effectuated as of 01. July 2022.
Our assessment indicates that we primarily interact with local suppliers with employees and operations situated locally in the countries where we operate, these suppliers primarily consists of larger companies that are themselves required to assess their own business according to the Transparency Act or smaller service-based companies with less of a potential for operating in a harmful way according to the transparency act. We have discovered that our largest liabilities lies in our suppliers of digital remote services and in our landlords’ purchases of services when a specific real estate is constructed or renovated. We do not have information as to the historic effects of the buildings we occupy today, we will however require confirmation and control from our landlords going forward to ensure they too operate according to the rules and regulation of the transparency act.
Social responsibility is a continuous process of assessment, implementation and follow up together with our employees, suppliers, partners, customers and members. We are dedicated to improving our processes in the years to come in order for us to comply with governmental regulations but most importantly because we would like to ensure we leave a positive impact on the environment and society as a whole both where we operate but also globally.
