The Next Big Step for Partnerships in Denmark

We’re incredibly excited to have Aya Fabricius join Mesh Community as Head of Partnerships in Denmark. Our goal is to create the most valuable startup community in the Nordics by supporting founders with space, network, talent and funding. With Aya joining, we’re solidifying our network pillar by being the go-to partner for corporates, investors and ecosystem players in the Danish ecosystem.

Aya’s experience, with a background in philosophy and technology from Copenhagen University and experience founding a creative tech startup in Denmark and Norway, brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. At her latest position at PropTech Denmark, Aya was a key figure in building one of Denmark’s biggest startup-corporate networks where they engaged with some of the most prominent Danish startups like the newly funded NORNORM and corporates such as Hines, Realkredit Danmark and ATP Real Estate.

“Startups and established businesses need each other. I recognized a clear need when I was a founder, and later when working with corporations on green and digital transformation in a – mildly put – traditional industry. By engaging 11,000 startups, 1,750+ Nordic events, and 475,000 talents, Mesh Community is in a unique position to bridge that gap! Now, I seek ambitious corporations who are serious about future-proofing their business and help drive this ecosystem forward.” says Aya.

Mesh Community in Denmark

Mesh Community has an extensive network in Denmark, with Matrikel1 as the Danish hub with close to 200 startups and over 1100 members. In addition, we have The Hub, the largest recruitment platform in the Nordics with over 11,000 startups and 475,000 talent.

Now we are expanding our network to provide more value to the ecosystem to both partners and startups. Engaging with the startup ecosystem is essential for those who want to drive innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation. By partnering with Mesh Community organizations and corporate ventures will have direct access to a Nordic network of startups, while benefiting from our full-service event and co-working facilities. In turn, startups gain access to potential clients and industry insights – crucial to scale their ventures.

Frederik Ferbing, General Manager at Matrikel1, Mesh Community’s Danish hub, says “At Matrikel 1, we’ve built a vibrant hub for the entire Danish startup ecosystem – founders, investors, and key ecosystem players. But we’re not stopping there. By leveraging our vast Nordic network and connecting innovative companies with our community, we want to supercharge our support for the Danish startup ecosystem. Aya has a proven track record in cultivating impactful partnerships and I’m thrilled to have her on board as we strengthen our efforts to connect the ecosystem.

“We see Denmark as an excellent place to expand our partnerships. We aim to become the leading network in the Nordics and partnerships is a crucial part in achieving this. Given our strong foundation in the startup ecosystem, we have a unique position to partner with organizations and corporations. I believe with Aya’s founder experience and strong skills in building networks, we will be able to build valuable collaborations in Denmark and in the Nordics. I look forward to this exciting new chapter!” says Anders Mjåset, Founder and CEO at Mesh Community.

We look forward to this exciting new step and welcome to the team Aya! If you want to grab a coffee with her, reach out to aya@meshcommunity.com
