What is Slush’D?
The World’s leading startup conference, SLUSH, is venturing out and supporting smaller startup communities around the world by lending their brand and support. Through an open call, where +100 cities applied, Aarhus was selected as one of five to host their expansion event, Slush’D, in 2022.
The main event, SLUSH, is a massive event with upwards of 25.000 participants (investors, startups, etc.). This will be held, as usual, in Helsinki in November.
The new Slush’D events will be held sporadically from June through October in Maputo (Mozambique), Dar (Tanzania), Heilbronn (Germany), Nyuad (Abu Dhabi), and Aarhus (Denmark).
Each Slush’D host designs their own event based on their expertise and knowledge of the local community, in close collaboration with the Slush team in Helsinki. In Aarhus, Startup Aarhus is the host organization with support from local and global partners.
Theme: Choices
Humans make more than 35,000 decisions per day. Founders & Investors probably make a lot more… At Aarhus Slush’D we want to explore those choices – by asking the right questions.
Every day we as founders or investors must choose which road we want to take. Who should I hire? Who should I fire? Should I keep fighting or close my business to start a better one? Should I go for an exit or IPO? How do I give back to my community? Who can help me move forward?
We want to explore without double underlining any correct answer. We want founders and investors to go home having faced those tough choices they’ve made or are about to make.
There is no right funding journey or investment, there is, however, one that is right for you.
